The Latin Grammy

The Latin Grammy

Latin’s music biggest night brought some of the biggest names and awarded some of the most talented artist in the music industry. The best performance of the night was when Ricky Martin and Laura Pausini performed next to Miguel Bose. Recognizing some of the biggest names in the music industry is great, but I think the Academy should also give the oportunity to other emerging talents as well. Puerto Rico, Colombia and Spain were really well represented as always.  Draco Rosa, Carlos Vives, Alejandro Sanz y Marc Anthony were the big winners of the night. Mexico also said present with the performance from El Dasa and the Latin Grammy winners Banda Los Recoditos and Banda el Limon de Salvador Lizaraga. There was not a lot of surprises everything seem to be much of the same thing. Although I have to admit I did like the fact that Mario Domm reapeared performing with Jesse & Joy their latest song Llorar. Pablo Alboran also performed his latest single Tanto, but went home empty handed again. Pablo definately has talent but, if you pair him with a legend in the music business like Marc Anthony of course he will loose. I think a little bit more of creativity would be nice to see next year. It seems that all the Univision awards show follow some type of formula and the creativity is definitely lacking. I think Univision should stop recycling its talent as well. You see the same presenters in all of their award shows year after year. Overall it was good award show. Maybe next year we can see little bit more of creativity.
